The Club
The Club History
Scorpions Hockey Club has built a proud history as one of Malawi’s competitive hockey clubs. The club has enjoyed success in Malawi’s National Hockey League, including winning the league championship.
Scorpions have also lifted tournament titles, demonstrating consistency beyond league competition. This success has helped establish the club as a strong force in Malawian hockey.
The club has represented Malawi in international club competitions, including the African Hockey Club Championship. Scorpions have continued to compete in local tournaments and develop a strong competitive tradition.
In July 2026, the club finished as runners-up in the Milanzi Fast 5 Tournament in Lilongwe. Although the club fell short of the title on that occasion, the result added another notable finish to their record.
From league championships to tournament finals, Scorpions have continued to compete at a high level. The club history reflects determination, teamwork and a lasting commitment to the growth of hockey in Malawi.
